Moving on to what we have been doing for years, San Juan Island Kayak Tours and Adventures. We started mid March and were busy through April. Now that May has past we are in June and the kayak season is going strong. We are open and running kayak tours 7 days a week. Just recently we have been encountering the Southern Resident Killer Whales and the weather has been spectacular. Just yesterday nice new tandem kayaks arrived for the tour fleet. We are excited to get those kayaks unpacked and on the water. With all my staff returning this season I was only in need of one new guide, though I might be looking to take on one more. The new guide, Alex, has been working hard and getting though training and will soon be taking on his own tours. Always excited to get a new staff member on the water doing what they do best.
We offer a full range of kayak tours from camping adventures, half and full days, night tours and sunset tours. If you are looking for an adventure we have what will fit your needs.
At the shop downtown we are fully stocked from base layers to rain jackets. We stock quality brands such as Outdoor Research, The North Face, Sea to Summit, Werner paddles, Cascade Designs and much more. We also have all new designs from local graphic artist Jennifer Rigg. Her shirts have a unique design and a feel of San Juan Island. Jennifer was raised on San Juan and her designs reflect the nature of her roots here. Not only does she design the art she does all the printing here on island.
We are excited about the season and hope to see lots of visitors. Sharing the islands with you is what we are here to do. So reserve a kayak tour or bike rental, or just stop by our shop at 260 Spring St when you are in town.
